Russ Monbleau - In Memoriam
It is with regret and profound sadness, that we inform the MCAA membership and family of the loss of Russ Monbleau. Russ passed away on Sunday, September 19th after a long illness. On behalf of the entire organization, we express our deepest condolences and sympathies to his family and friends.
Russ Monbleau was a lifetime member of MCAA and was instrumental in its success, serving since 1978! He was Board President twice, NRR Fields creator, project leader, rewrote the constitution (1982), Fields Director for 20 years, Baseball Director - 5 years, Babe Ruth Director - 6 years, Co-founded the soccer program and was Director for 12 years, coached 8 years. Creator of Instructional and Minors Baseball leagues, coached baseball 14 years, director of Softball - 4 years, Umpire-In-Chief Baseball/Softball - 4 years, established the first MCAA soccer camps and baseball camps. He also contributed to the NH State Softball program. Was named 2001 Babe Ruth Volunteer of the Year and 2009 New Hampshire Babe Ruth Volunteer of the year.
Without any doubt, Russ was legend and had a positive impact on countless kids who came through MCAA's sports programs over the years. Recently, MCAA honored him by renaming its sports complex on North River Road in his name. The US Flag there will remain at half-mast in his honor for the remainder of the month of September.

MCAA will forever be grateful for his dedication and devotion. We will never forget him, but we will miss him!
