The Milford Community Athletic Association (referred to hereinafter as MCAA) is a volunteer based community association. As such, each individual taking part in MCAA programs will be required to volunteer a set amount of time to fulfill the basic needs of the programs registered for. In doing so, the MCAA will take every step possible to develop affordable programs that achieve the purpose stated within the MCAA Articles of Agreement and By-laws:
The purpose of the MCAA is to provide Milford area youth with athletic activities that will promote sound bodies, keen minds, positive competitive attitudes, and the spirit of teamwork.
By accepting these terms upon registration, I (the registrant) understand that I will be required to adhere to the following MCAA volunteer policy:
I will perform four (4) hours of volunteer service per registrant in MCAA program, per season.
>Any family with more than one registrant per season will be required to perform four (4) additional hours per child, with a cap at twelve (12) hours total. Any family with more than three (3) registrants should notify the MCAA Board of Directors to ensure no registration difficulties occur.
>Any family receiving a scholarship will be required to perform twelve (12) hours of volunteer service, or undertake a recognized role that fulfills volunteer hours
Roles that fulfill hours:
>MCAA Board of Director service
>MCAA Sport-specific board service (as approved by sport Director)
Standing volunteer opportunities
>Concessions (registrants will be assigned specific volunteer hours, it is up to the registrant to fulfill this obligation or find someone to take their assigned slot)
>Field/floor preparation (Sport specific)
>Team assistance (Sport-specific tasks including, but not limited to, dugout monitoring, scoring/clock operation, practice assistance)
>Product or services donations (as approved by the Board of Directors)
The MCAA will work to accommodate and communicate program needs and suggested means of completing volunteer hours. Utilizing personal strengths and abilities to benefit the MCAA and its programs are always welcome. Please contact the Board of Directors with suggestions.
Failure to complete the required volunteer hours will result in:
>Invoice the registrant at a rate of twelve dollars 50 cents per hour ($12.50/hour) for each volunteer hour not fulfilled
>If the invoiced fees are not paid, additional measures may also be taken by MCAA:
>Add the amount of any unpaid fees to future registrations
>Withhold future program registrations
