March 2010 Flood Thank you to all who "answered the call" and came down to help move supplies and equipment out of the first floor (in case of
flooding which fortunately
did not happen). For a comparison to the April 2007 Flood, see the video
posted below these pictures.
April 2007 Flood The video below that Chris Thompson took in '07 shows a great comparison
to what we saw this past weekend (March 2010)! This video was shot when the
water had come down a foot.
July 2009—MCAA Supervisor of Umpires, Ross Herda, just returned from a trip to Delaware. He was at Sports At The Beach near Rehoboth Bay, Delaware for a week. Ross was invited down by a local 14 yr old AAU team, the Souhegan Valley Saints. While there, he umpired 9 games in 5 days. Teams that participated in the Summer Classic Tournament came from all over the country as did the other professional umpires. The above picture is an aerial photo of the complex. It includes 16 fields, numerous concession/food centers, dorms, training facilities, and more. The website is http://www.sportsatthebeach.com/
June 7, 2008—The MCAA dedicated the North River Road fields complex to longtime volunteer, coach, umpire, director and board member (to name a few) Russ Monbleau. The newly named "Russ Monbleau Youth Sports Complex" will serve to honor Russ's 30 plus years of service and devotion to the MCAA. Thank you Russ!!
